Victoria Cherepanova
Victoria Cherepanova is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across painting, illustration, tattoo, digital media, and sculptural techniques. With over a decade of experience in the arts, her practice explores the intersection of psychological depth, trauma, healing, and transformation. Born in Russia and currently based in Canada, she developed her artistic voice through personal experiences shaped by migration, resilience, and the search for safety and self-expression. Her work combines traditional techniques with contemporary approaches. She paints in oil and acrylic, often incorporating sculptural textures and layered surfaces to create a physical sense of depth. Alongside traditional media, she produces digital works that are later transformed into high-quality fine art prints, preserving the tactile and painterly feeling of the original concept. In addition to her original artwork, Cherepanova also works with the recovery and restoration of damaged paintings, art objects, and sculptural models. Depending on the condition of the piece and the technical requirements, restoration is carried out using available studio equipment and appropriate materials, with careful attention to preserving the original structure and visual character of the work. Alongside her independent practice, Cherepanova currently works as a studio and gallery assistant for contemporary artist Amer SM gaining practical experience in exhibition preparation, studio production, and the technical processes behind professional art presentation. Cherepanova’s visual language moves between darkness and light — confronting difficult subjects such as violence, survival, and identity, while also creating luminous, healing imagery inspired by nature, minerals, cosmic symbolism, and spiritual transformation. This duality reflects her belief that art can exist both as a form of testimony and as a space for recovery. Her works have been shown in exhibitions and independent art projects, and her practice continues to expand across international platforms, collaborations, and interdisciplinary formats.
